1. Create and install your Shopify app
Open the Shopify Dev Dashboard at dev.shopify.com/dashboard. Create an app in the same organization as your shop.
Give the app read_products and read_inventory access. Release the app version and install it on your shop. Copy the Client ID and Client secret from the app’s Settings. Keep the secret private; enter it only in Replygate.
2. Connect your shop in Replygate
In Shopify, find your store’s .myshopify.com address under Settings → Domains. Use this address, even if customers normally use a custom domain.
In Replygate, open Integrations → Shopify → Connect. Enter the domain, Client ID and Client secret, then connect. Published products are imported automatically, or checked directly if your connection uses live lookup.
3. Choose where to use the shop
In Contact Hub, open the settings for your website or mailbox and select the connected Shopify catalogue. Save the channel settings, then test a question about a published product and check the price and availability against Shopify.
Optional: answer order questions
Also give the app read_orders access, release and install the updated app version, then reconnect in Replygate. Enable Order information separately in the AI agent’s settings.
Standard access covers the last 60 days. Older orders need Shopify approval for extended access. This connection answers order and tracking questions; it does not process refunds, cancellations or address changes.
If the connection fails
Check the .myshopify.com address, credentials, app permissions and installation. The app and store must belong to the same Shopify organization. If products are missing, check that they are published and that the catalogue is selected for the channel.
